Memorial Service for William Pete, Sr.

William Darrell Pete, Sr (Lovingly called Rock, Pete or Wimpy) was born on July, 29, 1959 to the late Reuben and Josie Pete in Washington, DC. On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, the Pete family lost their beloved ‘Rock’ to natural causes at his home.

 

William leaves 2 daughters Pendora Pete-Lundy & Danielle Pete. His oldest son, William Pete, Jr, preceded him in death. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and 5 siblings. He was preceded in death by 9 siblings. He has over 100 nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

 

He was educated in DC Public Schools. During his youth he loved the Ohio Players and would like to consider himself the Adonis if you let him tell it. He worked for Giant Food Stores for over 20 years. During these years he was known to be the funniest guy on earth who brought smiles and laughter to everyone he came across. No one was off limits for his joaning.

 

He loved to keep up with the latest music, dancing, movies, collecting electronic devices (at least 2 of everything) and his daughters were his greatest loves. He was the life of the party at family gatherings and kept everyone in stitches.

 

Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to join the Pete family for his memorial services once everything is finalized. The memorial services will be held on February 17 at 2pm. Location:
