The Jeremy Giambi Foundation "Keeping #7 Alive"

Hello,
My name is Cory, in honor of my God Brother Jeremy Giambi, and with the blessing of the Giambi family I have created this go fund me page. Not only do we want to keep his legacy and memory alive - we also want to give Jeremy the memorial celebration he so well deserves, to celebrate his life and say our last goodbyes.
As some of you may or may not know, Jeremy had an undeniable passion for playing, talking and coaching the game of baseball. Jeremy's passion and love for the game evolved into him discovering a new love and career after retirement, coaching. Spreading his knowledge, expertise and helping young athletes chase their big league dreams as a hitting coach at PFA Baseball in Montclair, CA. Jeremy's dedication to his students (hitters) and to the entire PFA family was undeniable. If Jeremy could squeeze in a lesson and have the opportunity to share his knowledge of the game, that is exactly what he did. Jeremy was "Always grinding and finishing hard".
Unfortunately as some of you may NOT know, is that Jeremy had suffered a traumatic injury while coaching. Jeremy was struck in the face with a baseball during a hitting lesson causing severe damage to his face. Thus resulting in broken bones, head and emotional trauma. After recovering from the broken bones in his face, Jeremy began suffering from severe emotional distress and depression. The accident traumatized and changed the Jeremy we all loved and adored so much.
My personal goal is to raise $20,000 in order to assist in covering any extra services the Giambi Family may need during this tragic time.
Also, In dedication and the memory of #7, the Giambi family will be creating the Jeremy Giambi Foundation which will provide sponsorships and support for youth baseball, while simultaneously spreading mental health awareness.
All proceeds will go directly to the Giambi family in order to preserve the legacy of #7. The Giambi family and loved ones appreciate all the love and support you all have shown during this difficult time. It is going to take all of us together to create the Jeremy Giambi Foundation and to make sure number 7's (Coach Jeremy's) legacy lives on through the up and coming youth hitters for decades to come.
Jeremy was a beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Coach and Friend. Jeremy was always the life inside any room and had the biggest heart and smile. Jeremy's legacy throughout major league baseball along with the memories shared with all of his family and friends over the years will live on forever.
