Memorial service for Elijah Daniel Smith
Donation protected
On December 22nd, 2022 we lost an incredible man. Elijah was a son, grandson, brother, father, cousin, and veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was promoted ahead of his peers to the rank of Sergeant in just over 3 years. While still enlisted, he deployed with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and during his deployment, he would end up traveling to Singapore, Malaysia, Israel, UAE (Dubai), Bahrain, and Guam. His deployment would go onto support the “Operation Inherent Resolve Campaign.” This deployment is also known for their involvement and recovery operation of the USS John McCain, after the ship had been struck by a freighter.
Elijah is survived by his Grandma, Mom, Brothers, 3 children, and many cousins, aunts and uncles. The loss of Elijah is felt deeply by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Our family is devastated by his sudden and tragic death. Elijah’s unexpected death has left him mom in a tough financial situation. To help offset the costs of the funeral and other financial strain this puts on his mom and to help support his 3 beautiful children. We are asking for any donations to help us out during this difficult time. If you knew Elijah, it was like knowing a brother. He was quite literally willing to give the shirt off his back and the shoes on his feet if you needed it. He will be missed by all who knew him.
All proceeds will go to his funeral costs and the excess will go to support his family and his surviving children.
thank you.
