Memorial Service for Edward "Steve" Ferrer

Hi, everyone! My name is Camryn Rose & I am the eldest daughter of Edward "Steve" Ferrer.

My dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in March 2021. The doctors estimated that he only had a few months to live but with treatment and a strong will, he was able to extend that timeline to over a year. In that time, we celebrated my graduation from UC Irvine, Father's Day and, more recently, my 23rd birthday. I am beyond grateful that my dad was able to greet me at midnight from Scripps Mercy Hospital, as this would be the last time he would be able to hold a conversation. During the days preceding my dad's passing, he became unresponsive. He was unable to walk, speak, or open his eyes; however, my dad was able to squeeze my hand to let me know he was aware of my presence. The following day, after seeing me for the last time, my dad took his final breath on August 12th at 11:53 AM. No words can describe my gratitude for being with my dad during his last moments.

With the significant increase in funeral expenses, my family and I would graciously appreciate any donations, no matter the amount, to the funeral service and burial. We are forever thankful for the love expressed for my family and dad.
