Gautam R. Mirchandani, MD, 51, a resident of Stamford, CT and formerly of Fishkill, NY, died unexpectedly on October 11, 2025. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, wit, and for joy that he took in the happiness of others. His life was an example of quiet courage, determination, and strength in the face of adversity.

A dedicated neuroradiologist, who also published medical research, gave lectures, served on committees, and was honored with awards, Gautam first fell in love with studying the brain at Yale College. His memory is a blessing to those who loved him, and let's make it a blessing to future Yale students through a memorial scholarship.

Gautam also excelled at tennis, running, classical piano, and painting before multiple sclerosis took them from him one-by-one. He loved traveling, hiking, skiing, art museums, the opera--all of which multiple sclerosis also took. Multiple sclerosis could not take his alma mater Yale, so let's immortalize his generosity there.
