Charlie Bloomquist, will be loved and missed by his friends and family. He spent the majority of his life living on the front range of Colorado. Beginning in the late 1970s he called Lakewood, Colorado his home; and it was the city where he raised his family. Charlie was involved in local politics and played a key role in getting approval for Union Square Park. A group of concerned citizens wanted the park and knew they could count on Charlie’s help. The result is the beautiful park that we know and love in our community today. It is a place where Charlie’s children and their friends played, and has been enjoyed by many families since.
Charlie’s family would like to purchase a memorial bench or tree in Union Square Park where his legacy lives on. All additional funds will be donated to Step Denver, an organization devoted to helping men in need rebuild their lives through sobriety, work and accountability.
