Memorial For My Younger Brother Mark Weah Doe

This is a GoFundMe for my younger brother Mark Weah Doe.

Hi everyone,

On June 2, 2023 I lost my younger brother due to an act of violence. He died from internal bleeding which was caused from him being beaten. My younger brother had a beautiful soul,he loved his family dearly and everyone who came across him loved him as well.

Our little sister was his best friend and this loss is taking a toll on her.

In 2011 I had the opportunity to come to Canada and start a new life but it sadden me that I had to leave my mother, stepfather and siblings behind. Being separated from my family especially my mother has not been easy. For 13 years I have dreamt of the day I would return to Liberia and reunite with them. When I got the call that my brother had passed I began to feel sick to my stomach , my body became numb, I felt hopeless, anxious and depressed. Memories of us playing soccer and doing other fun activities together in our yard began to replay in my head. I wish I could have been there to help him in his last moments. My brothers death has left a void that can not be filled by anyone else. I am still asking God why but I know my brother is in a better place now.

I am reaching out to you all to please help me support my family in this difficult time. With your donations, my family and I will be able to have a memorial service to honor my brother.
