Megan never met a stranger and enjoyed life to the fullest. Her laugh was contagious, and she had the most hilarious sense of humor—always ready with a dirty joke to make everyone smile. Losing Megan to lung cancer on April 3, 2025, left a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew her. She was the kind of person who made every gathering brighter and every day a little lighter.
To honor Megan’s memory, I want to build a memorial Little Free Library with bench seating at the corner of my new house under a beautiful, large tree. This special library will feature both kids’ and adult books, creating a space where everyone feels welcome and encouraged to explore new ideas. Megan believed in the power of laughter, connection, and open-mindedness, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate her life than by sharing those values with our community. To keep things spicy, as Megan always did, we will ensure we have banned books in the mix, too! Additionally, we will have a bin for dog treats and a water bowl because Meg loved ALL the doggies!
The funds raised will go towards building materials, possibly hiring someone to set it up, the bench, a diverse collection of banned books to fill the library, a bin for dog treats, and a water bowl. With your support, we can create a lasting tribute to Megan—a place where neighbors can gather, read, and remember the joy she brought to so many lives. Please consider helping make this vision a reality and keeping Megan’s joyful spirit alive for years to come.
