In honor of Virgilio Amaro
(January 1938-January 2020)
Today the Merendino Care family sadly lost a former employee. Virgilio Antonio Amaro was loved and will be greatly missed.
Virgilio retired from Merendino a few years ago, and he is fondly remembered for his instrumental help in recruitment of many members from the Dominican Republic community and the East Coast area, to work for Merendino Cemetery Care.
Virgilio was happiest when in the company of the love of his life, Maria and seeing his entire family together at gatherings is what brought him the greatest joy in his life. Virgilio will be sorely missed by all who had the honor and pleasure to work with him and call him “Friend”. It was truly a blessing to have worked with Virgilio.
Virgilio is survived by his wife, Maria Rafael Amaro. They were married in the Dominican Republic in November of 1996. What he liked the most was seeing his family together and sharing with them.
A Sentiment from Virgilio’s Daughters:
“You were a very good man. An excellent husband, father, great-grandfather, son, and brother. You were full of love, devoted to family and others. You are our pride, and warrior. Rest In Peace, angel. You will always be in our hearts. We love You! ❤️

En honor a Virgilio Amaro

Hoy, la familia Merendino Care perdió lamentablemente a un ex-empleado. Virgilio Antonio Amaro fue amado y lo extrañaremos mucho.
Virgilio se retiró de Merendino hace unos años, y es recordado con cariño por su ayuda instrumental en el reclutamiento de muchos miembros de la comunidad de la República Dominicana y el área de la costa este, para trabajar para Merendino Cemetery Care.
Virgilio estaba más feliz cuando en compañía del amor de su vida, María, y en ver a toda su familia junta en las reuniones es lo que le trajo la mayor alegría de su vida. Virgilio será profundamente extrañado por todos los que tuvieron el honor y el placer de trabajar con él y llamarlo “Amigo”. Fue una verdadera bendición haber trabajado con Virgilio.
A Virgilio le sobrevive su esposa, María Rafael Amaro. Se casaron en la República Dominicana en Noviembre de 1996. Lo que más le gustó fue ver a su familia junta y compartir con ellos.
Un sentimiento de las hijas de Virgilio:
“Fuiste un hombre bueno. Un excelente esposo, padre, bisabuelo, hijo y hermano. Estabas lleno de amor, dedicado a la familia y a los demás. Eres nuestro orgullo y guerrero. Descansa en paz, ángel. Siempre estarás en nuestros corazones. ¡Te amamos!" ❤️
