Hello, my name is Jamie and my late son, Damien Lopez, a member of the transgender LGBTQ+ community, died by suicide at 12 years old in our home on March 5, 2021. I am very humbly asking the audience that this reaches, to find it in their hearts to donate so Damien can have the proper headstone, for which he still does not have. His resting place now is with a side of the family who very proudly stands against the entire LGBTQ+ community. I found this out only after having his ashes placed there. I have got to get him to where he can rest peacefully, and rest with PRIDE. I feel so shameful to make this gofundme..but I feel I have not a single other option to afford this. I was not prepared financially at such a young age to have to bury my child. He was my best friend, my everything! Any and all donations will be accepted with the utmost gratitude.
