Memorial Funeral Services for Joe Olszewski
Joe was in a motorcycle accident on Thursday night. It is believed he had a heart attack while riding and crashed his bike. A passerby found him and administered CPR. Life saving efforts continued to the hospital. The staff at UMC Trauma Unit did everything they could for him. Sadly the tests showed no brain activity.
Joe was a great friend to all. There are so many memories you all shared about him. He’s a hero in my eyes. He always thought of others and that continued beyond this life. In 2016 he registered with the donation network to save the life of someone else in the event of his own death.
Joe wanted nothing more than to have a child. That dream came true for him when Zoe was born. She was the light of his life, his best bud. There was nothing greater than fatherhood. Zoe is only 7 and has her whole life ahead of her. I pray she holds all the memories of Joe. We will help keep his memory alive by telling stories, sharing his hopes and dreams and aspirations for the future.
We are raising money to help cover funeral cost and help raise Zoe. All donations will go into an account for Zoe’s future. Joe did everything he could for his little girl. There is no amount too small. They say it takes a village and I know we will all come together in his honor.
I am also asking for any letters to Zoe about her dad. She can read stories about his wild and crazy times and how he stood up for people when noone else did.
Thank you for all the love and support you all have given to our family in the tragic time. Your words have been comforting.
