Hi my name is Dominique. I am the niece of Calvin (Chef C) Alexander.

In the wee hours of the morning on October 28, 2021 Calvin (Chef C) passed away due to complications after contracting the virus, Covid-19. He had been battling with this illness for almost a month. He was a healthy recently turned, 50 year old man with such a promising life ahead. While we all sat in hopes, praying believing and waiting for his healing and return home, his health was declining. Yet, we still would not accept anything less than… he would be healed! Unfortunately, or plan for him wasn’t the plan. As we sit the pass few days in disbelief we also have to come to terms that this is now our new reality. With the time we try to prepare and mourn our loss, chaos surrounds us but we are stead fast and believe that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Calvin (Chef C) was a man of integrity, dedication, resilience, joy and love. He was a family man. He was a father, he was a friend, he was a cousin, a nephew, a uncle, a confidant. His presence was infectious with a handsome face, a charming personality and loving spirit, all while being the life of the party. He stood out without saying a word. Micheal Jackson’s moves had nothing on his. Lol. He was a respiratory therapist for 13 years. Serving, helping people, saving lives as those in that hospital have done for him these past few weeks. No he was not a professional dancer Lol. Although his moves were impressive. He was a Chef. One of his kind. With recipes that as he said “make you wanna slap yo momma, … but don’t slap yo momma”. He chased a dream that most would have gave up on. Passion leaves legacies as long as you don’t quit before you get there. Money isn’t everything. It’s sometimes about you believing in yourself enough to not give up on yourself. He gave opportunity to people, he inspired, and he treated people like family and that is why his Love Lives through us and we are affected by the love we no longer physically have. But know that there is one super cool angel out there being the life of heavens party but he will take a nap, wake up and be by your side watching over you like he never missed a beat(insider). As we have to prepare to lay Calvin (Chef C) to rest we ask that you support us in this time in whatever way you can.
