Memorial Fundraiser for Graciela Godoy Gonzalez

Hello friends, family and anonymous donors. My name is Delfino Gonzalez-Serna and very recently I lost my mother Graciela Godoy Gonzalez to stage 4 metastatic bone cancer. She was diagnosed on June 26, 2025 and shortly after a month succumbed to her illness. She was an amazing mother and we were blessed to have her in our lives and her spirit will continue on with those she positively impacted. Despite the struggles she faced throughout her life and her previous battles with cancer, she always kept a positive attitude and strong faith in god. She spent most of her life taking care of others... her siblings, her husband, her stepsons, her grandson, neighbors and always put others needs before her own. My mother enjoyed knitting, arts and crafts, gardening, helping others, creating, drinking milk, and always carried a lucky $2 dollar bill. To our family she was our world, when she came into our lives she enriched it and made us better people. She will be greatly missed and will always be cherished. On behalf of my family I appreciate any support you are able to give. I love you mom and hope you are resting easy.

Hola amigos, familiares y donantes anónimos. Mi nombre es Delfino González-Serna y recientemente perdí a mi madre, Graciela Godoy González, por cáncer óseo metastásico en etapa 4. Fue diagnosticada el 26 de junio de 2025 y, poco después de un mes, falleció a causa de la enfermedad. Fue una madre increíble y tuvimos la bendición de tenerla en nuestras vidas. Su espíritu seguirá presente con aquellos a quienes impactó positivamente. A pesar de las dificultades que enfrentó a lo largo de su vida y sus batallas previas contra el cáncer, siempre mantuvo una actitud positiva y una fuerte fe en Dios. Pasó la mayor parte de su vida cuidando a los demás: sus hermanos, su esposo, sus hijastros, su nieto, sus vecinos y siempre antepuso las necesidades de los demás a las suyas. A mi madre le encantaba tejer, las manualidades, la jardinería, ayudar a los demás, crear, beber leche y siempre llevaba consigo un billete de la suerte de $2. Para nuestra familia, ella era nuestro mundo; cuando llegó a nuestras vidas, lo enriqueció y nos hizo mejores personas. La extrañaremos mucho y siempre la apreciaremos. En nombre de mi familia, agradezco cualquier apoyo que puedan brindarme. Te quiero, mamá, y espero que estés descansando bien.
