Updated amount needed: $1,500 , thanks to generous private contributions from family and friends, we are much closer to our goal!
Hi, my name is Natalie and I am fundraising for funeral expenses for my grandmother, Beatrice Perez Olivarez. At the elegant age of 90, she passed away peacefully on July 31st, 2021.
If it is at all possible for you to contribute toward burial costs, we would be so greatly appreciative! Above all, please pray for our family during our time of sorrow as my grandmother is immensely missed by us all.
Beatrice Perez Olivarez was born in 1931, in the small town of Yorktown, Texas. Later moving to Houston and graduating from Sam Houston High School, attended college, and taught at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. She married the love of her life, Severo Olivarez, and enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage. Beatrice was blessed with 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
More about my grandmother:
My grandma was an amazing person inside and out, full of joy and laughter. She was extremely giving, always putting others before herself. She constantly encouraged, supported, and cared for everyone around her with an indescribable love.
God always came first; she walked her life in faith, knowing how abundantly blessed she was. Her most cherished blessing being her family, she loved us with all her heart! And whether near or far, no matter the time that passed, she knew we all loved her dearly! She was the only one who could get after my grandfather, and she is forever his sweetheart.
My grandmother was intelligent, intuitive, and insightful, yet tender, compassionate, and forgiving. She loved the gift of music as well as the beauty and intricacy of flowers, that mirrored her own loveliness and grace. Always wanting to look her best, my grandmother was gorgeous beyond her years! Her personality was infatuating, her passion was mesmerizing, her mind was exquisite, and her heart was immense... she was a vision.
Grandma, you may be gone from our sight, but never gone from our hearts.
We love you forever and always.
