Memorial Fund supporting Zach Hackett
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, a day meant to be full of excitement & achievements, the unthinkable occurred. Mike Myers, father of Zach Hackett had worked tiredlessly to bring an appearance of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour to Western New York, a tight knit community with an avid love of racing. During activity on Saturday afternoon, Myers' nine-year-old son Zach Hackett was stricken with a health issue and unexpectedly passed away.
From Mikey Myers: Zach was a student at CHC Learning center and was an avid race car fan. He always had a bright smile on his face and was full of life. Mikey and Christina devoted so much love and attention to detail when it came to the care of Zach throughout his life. Along the road they faced many tough days, but never comprised Zach’s quality of life.
Zach was chosen to be a student at CHC Learning center which is a handicap only school where he frequented 5 days a week. He loved his bus rides and school to be with his friends. CHC is a self funded school that does not receive any state or government money.
As many of you that know me, I'm pretty hard headed and stubborn or when I do something I go all in! I have never been the one to accept someone else's money, I always found a way to just work harder when needing something or having to pay for something. So I can't not accept any of this money. I would ask that if you'd like to contribute that we will continue Zachary's impact and help better the school that Zachary loved to be at with this money attributed in this gofund me. The school is also a 501 Non-For profit for any businesses that would like to donate in Zachary's honor.
Thank you again for everyone's support in this heartbreaking time! I hope noone ever has to go through this type of pain or heartache.
