Memorial fund in honor of Matthew Roberts
Donation protected
It is with great sadness and a heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Matthew S Roberts – 46. He passed peacefully at home in Brownsburg, Indiana with his family on Wednesday, November 21st 2018 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Matt was born on June 3rd, 1972 in South Bend Indiana to Paul and Stephanie Roberts and is survived by his parents, his wife, Amber, his daughter Addison, Grandparents Oliver and Nancy Sigars from Springhill Florida, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Matt was an amazing man and we are proud to have been part of his life and happy he was a part of ours. He built numerous trusted relationships throughout the years as he mentored, coached and befriended those that worked with him. He graduated from Ball State University, he was passionate about martial arts, he loved his fur kids Murdock, Sammy, Nema, Mikey and his rock n roll idols include Sammy Hagar and Van Halen. He enjoyed going on hikes with his wife Amber, taking fishing trips to Canada with his father and friends and vacationing in Mexico with close friends and his wife. His commitment as a father, husband, son, friend, and leader, will be deeply missed. His enthusiasm and passion for Notre Dame football was only outdone by his loyalty to his friends and family. We can only hope to be as admired as Matt was in his personal and professional life.
Matt’s life was lost too soon and too young, and he leaves a hole in our hearts. May we never forget his laughter, his spirit, his loyalty, and the legacy that he leaves behind.
We will be hosting a Celebration of Life in honor of Matt, at Moontown Brewing Company (345 S. Bowers Street Whitestown, Indiana 46075) on Saturday December 8th, from 12:00PM-3:00PM. Light snacks will be provided but you are welcome to have lunch at the brewery, as they have a full menu available. With the Spirit of Matt in mind, attire should be that of your favorite college sports team (and in Matt’s eyes it would have a ND in the name). At Matt’s request, funeral services are not being held.
In lieu of flowers, this memorial fund has been setup in Matts honor to help the family with expenses and Addy's education.
