Memorial Fund Funeral for Israel Guzman
Donation protected
My heart is breaking in a million pieces right now. Sharing my sorrow and asking for help is so difficult for me. My father, Israel Guzman passed away unexpectedly yesterday. This was a man who was absent from our life for the first years of our lives. Little did the younger version of me realize that my Dad had left his wife and young children in Mexico in search for a better life. He would come back home for three months of the year. When I was 13 and my sister 10 he was able to finally send us to USA. My Dad worked hard to support all of us, to make sure food was on the table, to keep us safe, to make sure his daughters had an education, and never complained. It was this character trait, his work ethic, that ultimately led to his demise. He struggled with an illness he failed to share with his family and tried with all his heart to continue to provide for all of us despite severe pain and discomfort. By the time he shared his illness, it was too late. My Dad wanted us to have opportunities and a better life. He sacrificed so much of his personal wants to give us a life he never had. It wasn't until he disclosed the extent of his illness that I realized how much he sacrificed for all of us. In the end, he was my hero. Nothing can prepare you for the death of a love one. We were financially unprepared for his illness and passing. Donations will go directly to the cost of his funeral and any remaining funds will go directly to repaying any debts incurred during his illness. Any help is appreciated, but no matter what, please keep our family in your prayers. Thank you
