June 10th, 2020 a beautiful mind, a kind soul, and a sarcastic loving man/father was lost. As his daughter all i can say is i'm broken, and confused and lost. Im not the only one feeling this overwhelming pain because my dad was SO loved. he was a man to look up to, to strive to be, someone you always wanted to be around. he built a foundation of love and trust that lasted years and created the life we all got to share together. Theres nothing in this life more beautiful than the memories he made happen, for his family, friends, and children. he made us feel safe and loved and he gave us something we were missing he gave us the dad we needed. he never stopped trying to be the best he could be for us, even while fighting one of the hardest battles life could put you through. January 2019 he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. which was followed by chemo after chemo and with every message and phone call, every visit he never wanted any of us to worry because he wanted to fight this with everything he has, because thats just the type of man he was. he held on to hope and fought this fight until the very end, i know he did this for us. Not just his children but my mom rica, his mom meta, and all of the people who hearts would fall apart if anything happened to him. This is the hardest thing ive ever had to do. as my brother justin said "its the hardest thing ill ever have to do, and its the first thing ill ever have to do without you". these words couldnt be more true for all of us. were creating this gofundme to give my dad the goodbye he specifically asked for, something different and beautiful for us all to experience together in his honor. im creating this so soon because my dads youngest leaves to the army in six days and i know my dad wanted this for all of his children. thank you in advance for you support and kind words. thank you for loving our dad as irrevocably as we do. please feel free to share, repost, or reach out to us.
