Tony was an enthusiastic and passionate engineer who brought a positive attitude and a can-do spirit to his work. He received an Electrical Engineering degree from Auburn University and worked in the private sector before starting his career at NASA in 2004. He took on a variety of assignments before joining the ISS program to serve as the Caution & Warning Manager and ISS Program Notes Lead. Tony was an outdoor enthusiast and animal lover, so during his time in the ISS program office, Tony earned an Environmental Engineering and Science degree from John’s Hopkins University. In late 2020, he was selected by the Avionic Systems Division in the Engineering Directorate to serve as the project manager for the Gateway Portable Computer project with the goal of delivering laptops and servers for astronauts aboard the Gateway Lunar-orbiting outpost.
Tony was a good man with a kind heart. He loved rescuing and nurturing animals in need. He was a man of honesty and integrity who was very proud of his family’s military history. He made meaningful personal connections with his coworkers throughout his career, and he will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of getting to know and work with him.
