Memorial Fund for Tony Lujan

Dear friends and family of Tony Lujan,

It is with great sorrow and pain that we announce the sudden, shocking, and heartbreaking loss of Tony Lujan on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022.

Tony was a world-class jazz musician, gifted painter, mentor, and teacher. He is survived by his four children- Ambar, Tiana, Mitchell, and Miles. His mother, Nestor, his two sisters, Linda and Rosie, and many extended family members who loved him.

On the night of his passing, thousands of dollars in damage was done to his property which has been owned by the family since 1918. Additionally, Tony’s home was burglarized the night after his passing, and several family heirlooms were stolen.

While the family is hesitant to ask for financial donations, I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of his family in hopes of relieving them of some of the unexpected costs resulting from Tony’s sudden passing so they can focus on processing their profound grief.

The money would go towards settling his affairs, organizing a celebration of life, and carrying out some of his final wishes. Many have asked if they should send flowers or cards. While the thought is greatly appreciated, if you feel moved in any way, please consider making a donation in Tony’s honor in lieu of flowers or cards. Any little bit helps and is so deeply appreciated as his family navigates dealing with this unimaginable loss. Thank you so much for your support.
