Hello family & friends. My name is Ashley Rosecrans, daughter of Tim and Jana Sarjeant. I’m organizing a memorial fund in honor of my stepfather, Tim. As most of you know Tim crossed over the stars on the morning of August 23, 2021. Tim was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and a friend to all he knew, and it's with deep sorrow he’s had to leave us all behind.
I know my stepfather would not have wanted his wife and family to struggle with his insurmountable medical bills and funeral costs. Which is why I’ve organized this go fund me page to help my mother with the financial burdens that come with his passing. I’d also like to share with you the story of Tim’s life and what he meant to all of us.
Tim is a born and raised Southern California guy who’s love for the ocean started from the first time he saw it. Tim was a die hard surfer all throughout his adolescent life, surfing every chance he had, even on the surf team in high school (as well as playing on the football team). If you ever needed to find Tim your best bet was to look out in the water. When Tim was no longer able to ride the waves on a board he followed his true passion and instead rode the waves on a boat. He was an avid fisherman and made a point to include his family and friends whenever possible. His proudest moments fishing aren’t when he caught the biggest fish of the day, but when he was able to go out with his friends and family, especially when he was able to take his grandson on a fishing boat for his first time.
Tim was the life of the party wherever he went, his smile lit up every room he walked into, he was charismatic outgoing, loyal and passionate. He loved his family and his friends which to Tim there was no difference between the two. He loved his children, grandkids and especially my mom. Jana was the love of his life, 30 years they were together, for better or for worse, in sickness and In health, until death do them part. Unfortunately Tim’s health has not been the greatest since diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 8 years ago, but he beat the cancer that plagued his body and with every new medical problem that arose he and my mom battled it together. Tim was a fighter, he stayed positive through everything and was an inspiration to so many of us. Please, if you’re able to donate any amount will help and is so appreciated. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers for our family right now, we love all of you so much! We’d love for you to share some of your favorite memories of Tim to add to his story.
