Hi, we are a group of friends of Theodore "Ted" Buckner. Writing this is harder than we expected, but in his physical absence we must push on since that's what Ted would do for us. His illness this spring and passing last week are still unbelievable to us, but most definitely not as much as it's been for his devoted & loving wife Althea, their two sons Theo & Bennie and his beloved Mother, Brenda Harger.

Ted was a man who loved his family and prided himself in displaying his devotion in words and acts of service on behalf of those he loved. Devoted to his Oak Park/Ferndale, Michigan community, he served the community by coaching soccer, wrestling, Cub Scout Master and dedicated band parent. Ted LOVED being a husband and father. He truly enjoyed being actively involved in the lives of his sons and their activities. He poured himself into so many activities that many of Theo & Bennie's peers felt they were part of the Buckner family.

This fundraiser has three primary goals:

• Cover the expenses of laying Ted to rest.
• Assist his wife with the badly needed home repairs they were planning to make right before his illness.
• Assist his wife with unforeseen expenses due to their reduced income during his illness.

This is truly a situation where there is no donation too big, or too small. This is truly a family who will deeply appreciate any gesture of kindness that comes their way.

All donations will be going directly to Ted's wife Althea.
