Dear Friends, the clinical laboratory staff at Keck Medicine of USC is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Shannon Greaux’s family.
Shannon was diagnosed with ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, this last June of 2023. His diagnosis was a shock to us all and the progression of this disease was aggressive. He passed away on October 23 at the hospital with his family. He leaves behind his wife Erika and their two children of six and four, and many loving family members.
Shannon worked at Keck Medicine of USC for several years as the Late-night Phlebotomy Supervisor. He was a pivotal member of our Clinical Laboratory team helping manage the workflow of the Pre-Analytic team at a critical time during the late-night and early morning specimen collection. He was well loved and respected amongst his peers in the laboratory and the nurses, doctors, and patients he worked with.
He was an instructor for our phlebotomy training program here at Keck Medicine of USC and was actively involved with training new phlebotomists where he shared his experience and excitement for phlebotomy.
Shannon was a gentle soul, always had a smile for anyone he met, and exhibited grace under pressure at busy difficult times. He is missed and has left a hole in our heart.
This fund will help support his family financially during this difficult time. We thank you for any donation you are able to give.
On behalf of those who knew Shannon and his family, we thank you and God Bless!
