Memorial Fund For Shannon (Ainian) Sheffield
Donation protected
Shannon Elizabeth Ainian Sheffield, 28, returned to her Heavenly Father on May 19, 2020 after a battle with breast cancer. In life she was the light, the warmth and the love in all the rooms she entered.
Shannon was born to Juliet and Edmond Ainian on January 22, 1992 in Pasadena, California. She graduated from Burbank High School in 2010. There, she played four years of basketball with a free throw percentage of 84% and had a passion for boy bands. She went on to attend Brigham Young University – Idaho, where she developed deep friendships and earned a bachelor’s degree in social work. After college, Shannon was hired by the Ritz Carlton – Marina del Rey hotel and had a wonderful career working throughout the company—most recently in Human Resources. Shannon was an exceptional employee and was named “Employee of the Year” in 2018. In 2017, Shannon married the love of her life, Kevin Sheffield, in the Los Angeles Temple and they enjoyed three rich years of making each other happy.
Sweet Shannon loved Cafe Rio, spontaneous friend parties, her nieces and nephews, Disneyland, Justin Bieber, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, Face Timing with her closest friends and family, and watching the Bachelor and Bachelorette. But she most enjoyed spending time with her "Kev."
Shannon had a strong faith in her Savior. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and inspired and served many people, including members of the Burbank 2nd and 3rd Wards, Glendale 7th Singles Ward, and the Sherman Oaks Ward, where she recently served as the Relief Society President.
Shannon had a profound gift for making others feel loved and important. The love she had for her faith, best friends and family had a special intensity and she was not shy to express it. Her impact on those around her cannot be overstated.
Despite Kevin's protests, at this time we are raising money to help alleviate his burden of medical and funeral costs. I am Kevin's sister, and will distribute the gofundme amount raised directly to the family.
