Memorial fund for Rachel Richards

Rachel had a magnetic spunk around her. She was quick to laugh with a giggle that was unforgettable. She loved to tease others but teased only those she loved. Growing up in California she loved the sun and was an excellent snowboarder. She loved art and was very talented like her mother and grandmother. She was a deep and thoughtful person who loved people and animals.
Her love of people and adventure led her to pursue a career as a nurse and health care giver. From a profession that had brought her joy and the satisfaction of helping others, came a routine of extreme stress and anxiety because of the pandemic and her health care responsibilities. At only 38 years old, on July 17th, 2020 Rachel Richards took her life. Suicide leaves a disastrous wake among family, friends and the community. Due to the nature of her death, a number of family and friends lives have been turned upside down.

This event has been devastating to these individuals. It is an experience that no one should have to live through. Additionally the current pandemic has created significant challenges to all involved. The cost of suicide is much more than that of other forms of death. For that reason, this go fund me has been made to cover funeral expenses and costs associated with Rachel’s death. We thank you for any contribution you can make.
