Memorial Fund for Rachel Gill
Donation protected
A few weeks ago, me and my 3 younger siblings lost our only parent - and our best friend - Rachel, suddenly and sadly.
Our mum was an irreplacable force of nature and there is nothing in this world that will ever come close to filling the void she has left in our lives as well as countless others. We are heartbroken but we are so unbelievably lucky to be a family and to have had a mum who poured every single ounce of love she had in her in to our lives.
I said this before, but if there has ever been a moment where you thought us kind or smart or good or loving, even a little bit weird and geeky, know that that came as a direct result of our mum and her love. As a single parent, she beat all the odds and raised the most wonderful team for herself: Team Gill!
Unfortnately, losing our mum means we haven't just lost her but we have lost our security blanket in so many other ways. Before this, I was an MA student with very few responsibilities - now I'm an orphan with a family to support and a 12 year old sister to love and raise. None of us were prepared for this and we are feeling the strain.
Any donations, no matter how big or small, will be so greatefully recieved and be used towards our mum's funeral costs and to support ourselves as we adjust to life without the best mum one could ever dream of.
