Pica was a beautiful, happy, energetic Pitbull that was tragically lost to a snake bite while on a hike with her mom Kaitlin - with who she had such a beautiful relationship with and the two were truly inseparable.

Kaitlin has been such an amazing part of our community for a long time, and the Fortius Family wants to help with supporting her in this time, as she truly lost her best friend in such an abrupt way.

The ER vet treatment was substantial - including anti-venom and plasma treatment. We are hoping to raise money to help her offset what will be rather large vet costs.

We also ask that you keep Kaitlin and her pup Pica in your thoughts and prayers, Pica fought the whole way. But we know she is now in a better place, playing and chasing other pups in the heavens.

UPDATE: The total vet cost came up to over $16,000. So we are increasing the goal. Thank you all for your overwhelming support thus far!
