Memorial Fund for Paul DeJournett
Donation protected
With a heavy heart, I regret to announce the passing of our dad, Paul DeJournett, the morning of January 6th, 2021. He fought a long, hard fight with bladder cancer, coupled with heart and back issues for the past 5 years. Though we all miss him immensely, we rest easier knowing his pain has finally ended.
Though Paul had the forethought to plan ahead, there are some leftover funeral and transition expenses for Rebecca that our family is requesting assistance with should anyone wish to contribute.
He was married to our mother, Rebecca, for 18 years. She says he was the best man and husband she could have imagined and can never be replaced.
He was a proud Papa and father to more children than we can count on two hands! He has passed on his love and wisdom to all of us.
Anyone who knew Paul, knew that he was the ultimate handyman. You name it, he had a tool to fix it! We could always come to him for advice with car trouble, home maintenance issues, or life advice. Even greater than his practical skills, were his love and generosity toward his family. He would never let anyone go without – always willing to help out financially. He would give a “loan” that he would promptly write off the next Christmas.
He retired as a Captain in the Marine Corps after over 20 years of service in 1990 and retired in 2013 from civilian contract work with the Marine Corp.
Paul, Honey, Papa, Dad, Paullywog, Dejournettski, Pauly Wally Ding Dong, we have so many memories of you we will cherish forever. We love you so much and will miss you always!
