On June 26th, Jon and Maria's son Oscar Thomas died in a tragic accident. As you can imagine, the family is completely devastated.

Here is a message from the family:
"We appreciate the outpouring of support we have received thus far, and we will need you all in lots of ways for quite some time. Right now, our focus is on each other and, most importantly, our daughter Hannah. As we move through this process many of you will cross her path and we welcome your warm hearts and tender words. As you do, we ask that you respect our family’s beliefs as much as we respect yours and avoid any discussion about heaven or god or the afterlife. We will help our daughter navigate those questions in our way and will lean on her insightful words: “Maybe heaven is in our hearts.”
