Memorial Fund for Nelson Walley

This Memorial Fund has been organized by community members of City of Lakes Waldorf School to support our beloved coworker, Nelson Walley. In April, he learned of the tragic passing of his 28-year-old daughter from COVID-19. She is survived by her 10-year-old son and our dear friend, Nelson. 

His daughter meant the world to him and this grassroots fundraising effort is to support him in this time of grief. In the previous national tragedy of 9/11, he lost his wife and son who were in the World Trade Center. We hope to provide Nelson with both financial and emotional support through this current time of loss and uncertainty. All donations will be given to Nelson to support his journey in mid-June to Buffalo, NY for a family memorial in his daughter’s honor.  

 FUNDS WILL BE USED FOR::

- Food and lodging during a week long stay in Buffalo

- Supplies for a family gathering in his daughter’s honor

- Additional financial support for his grandson
