Memorial Fund for Michelle & Care for Her Beloved Cat

Hi everyone. My name is Gaby Diller and I am a close friend and colleague of Michelle Gabor who passed suddenly and unexpectedly due to medical complications on April 12, 2025. I am raising funds in her honor for both a memorial service to be held in Boston as well as to care for her cat Stinky. Stinky was born with a medical condition; count on Michelle to adopt a cat with a disability. He has cerebellar hypoplasia as well as heart failure. He sees a cardiologist every 4-6 months and each visit is $900 plus a long list of prescription medication that is costly and includes a daily injection. From 2017-2025, Michelle spent close to $12,000 in vet bills. Anyone who knew Michelle knew that her cats were her children. Peanut recently passed away as well, so Stinky will need additional care during this difficult time losing his brother and mama.

Any remaining funds will be donated in Michelle's honor to Mount Mary's Promise Program where she worked, or as scholarship for Lotus Advocacy clients that require financial assistance for tutoring or special education advocacy. Mount Mary University’s Promise Program is a federally funded TRIO Student Support Services program that provides academic, career and financial support to 140 first-generation and limited-income college students each year. The program provides holistic support to help students remain in good academic standing, persist in college, and graduate with a bachelor’s degree.

Her Celebration of Life will be in Milwaukee on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 12-3pm. Her Boston Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, June 8 from 12-3pm at Dorchester Brewery. All are welcome.
