Memorial Fund for Michael Moza

Donation protected
We are the family of Michael Moza, whom was killed on November 4th, 2020 after having a paranoid schizophrenic episode.  Michael was diagnosed having paranoid schizophrenia over 10 years ago and has battled with the illness ever since.  After attempting to reach out to 2 hospitals and a clinic and being denied care at all three, Michael was left with his overwhelming mental breakdown. He was scheduled today, November 4th, to receive his medication; instead, we are mourning the loss of a compassionate, loving and generous member of our family. We are mourning the lack of care for an individual that was simply seeking medical help that he had received in the past. Unfortunately, the professional help he was desperately seeking was denied.  Michael turned 30 years old on October 24th, had volunteered as a poll worker and worked extremely hard towards bettering himself. after suffering extraordinary personal loss. The youngest child of Joe and Jerry Moza, Michael lost both parents and older brother, Joey Moza, at a young age and relied on extended family members that encouraged and supported Michael, always. Being that Michael was only 30 years old, he had no life insurance or the financial means to pay for final expenses and the family is humbly seeking any type of donation/assistance, etc., to lay our beloved Michael to rest.  Through our tragedy, we want to shed light on the mental health issue here and express, not only on our behalf, but also on behalf those that suffer with mental health issues. We want to encourage families, friends and professionals close with those effected by these conditions to continue to seek help when needed.  We want to thank everyone for their time and consideration in this matter. Once funeral arrangements are finalized, they will be listed. Finally, to any and everyone effected by mental illness, the family would like to pass on this simple plea: You don't have to struggle in silence.
