Hi, my name is Michelle Ford and Michael Ford is my nephew. His Dad Jimmy Ford is my oldest brother. My brother and our entire family experienced a horrible tragedy last Friday, November 26th when Michael was found dead at a residence in Calimesa. Michael’s untimely and tragic death is something none of us were prepared for but even more so my brother. Michael was 20 years old and a Yucaipa High School graduate class of 2019. After High School Michael had a few different jobs but most recently was working at Los Rios Ranch in Oak Glen where he found a sense of belonging and purpose. If you had recently had a tri tip sandwich while up there, chances are Michael cooked and prepared the meat. Michael had aspirations of one day becoming a paralegal which was sparked by his interest of working in the Law Library in San Bernardino.

If Michael was ever in a crowd there was no doubt you’d be able to spot him. In a family among tall people he was proud that he grew to be the tallest. He had one of those smiles that literally went from ear to ear. Michael was very creative and artistic and always viewed the world a little different than we could see it. Even though Michael towered over me he will always be my little ring bearer at 4 years old that couldn’t understand why I gave him a pillow to carry with no rings on it. That was Michael very literal and often questioning things that many of us didn’t think about.

Michael’s Dad was not prepared financially as many people are not for the expenses involved in the death of a loved one. I am personally helping to handle final arrangements and the memorial service for my nephew. All monies donated will go directly to helping my brother with any expenses and supporting him as he grieves the loss of his son. Thank you for your love and support in this most tragic time.
