Mom was a beautiful woman who loved her family and spending time with them and her church. Mom has had health issues and struggled for years with her mobility. When she could, she loved going to the mountains and enjoying the views and wildlife. She had overcome so many obstacles in her life to include breast cancer, to have this take her from us so quickly has broken the hearts of her family and so many of you that she called her friends. I do know mom would talk sometimes about some friends were so close to her, that they would be considered to be part of our extended family. She was not only a mom to her only daughter and 5 sons by birth but to many other children that were not her own birth children, I do believe you know who you are.
Mom was truly a fighter in life until her last breath with her family by her side. Mom's kindness and love showed that no matter what she would be going through at the time she would never deny anyone anything they needed if she felt in her heart she could somehow help. Truly a heart of gold and what a beautiful angel she is now.
There are so many stories to tell of mom's life that they can't all be said here but would love for each of you to share them on her obituary tribute page for others to read.
I have set this page up for donations in lieu of flowers for mom to assist the family with a food reception after her Celebration of Life ceremony to be held on February 16, 2019 at the church she attended until her passing:
Horizon's Church
12 Flatford Road
Stafford, VA 22554
Any additional funds will be used to make donations in moms honor to her church for services along with either one or several charities of her families choice.
We love you mom, dance away in heaven and look over us all.
