Memorial Fund for Keiko Abella

Donation protected
For 24 years Dave Abella has been hosting Sushi Parties to many of us. His generosity has been unprecedented.  Some also know him as Tennis Dave or Sign & Graphics Dave.   For the past 12 years, he’s been the primary caregiver to his Mom, Keiko Abella (Kay, Kay San ).  Dave has been there making sure she had the best in care.  She’s had her challenges in the past 3 years, having Parkinson’s, COPD, a feeding tube, pneumonia, and numerous visits to the ER.  Kay-San had a small stroke yesterday in the nursing home where she was going through some PT. They revived her and she lost her fight later that afternoon.  Kay was 84.

Adding to the sorrow, Anna the family Cocker Spaniel crossed the rainbow bridge an hour before her.

Let’s support Dave and Ed in the honoring of Kay’s life.  She will be cremated and buried with her beloved husband, Fortunato, in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Punchbowl Crater, Honolulu.

Keiko is survived by Dave, Ed (Dave’s older brother) who lives in Chicago, and granddaughter Skyler.  She also has 2 brothers and a sister in Japan.
