June Sylvia Noh fought and endured so much for so long. She was first diagnosed with leukemia (AML) in 2010 and was a recipient of a bone marrow transplant from her own Son. He considers the opportunity the greatest accomplishment of his life. June worked hard to get well and lived a wonderful life post-transplant, watching her two children marry and start their own families, watching her first four grandchildren being born and being there for the news of her fifth grandchild, who is expected in December.
June's cancer and the treatments that followed were always unique in nature, and that continued to be true when the news of her relapse was known in April 2021, an incredible 11 years after remission. With the amazing team at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and The University of Washington Medical Center, she successfully fought through six months of treatments before undergoing a double umbilical cord transplant in November 2021. Due to her unique relapse and long remission, she was given a chance to attack her second battle with cancer with a new transplant rarely done medically. She fought so hard, having been admitted to the ICU on three separate occasions post-transplant and did EVERYTHING she could to keep going to make it back home.
After a three months admission during her final ICU stay at UW Medical Center, her body wouldn't let her fight anymore, and on the first hour of the 10th day of August, June Sylvia Noh passed away peacefully with her husband and two children at her hospital bedside.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, June was one of a kind. She was warm and generous and had humble compassion that belied her tremendous achievements. She enjoyed everything about life but especially found delight in learning new things, cooking, gardening, music, and traveling.
June leaves behind her husband Henry, her son Sage and daughter Celine, children-in-law Caroline and Jonathan, grandchildren Navian, Avery, Emilia, Julian, and unborn 5th grandchild to join Our Lord and Savior. She was 65 years old.
