Memorial Fund for Jorge Macaraeg Lindayen
Thank you to Everyone who made it out for His memorial - the comfort of friends and family have helped soften the pain at losing Him so suddenly.
As we have been visiting and meeting with relatives, we have been asked to reconsider the original plan
to immediately take his remains to the Philippines.
This is primarily due to the wishes of his surviving siblings, who want to keep him with us a while longer.
Almost all of his close family now reside in the US, and his sisters Jovita, Lydia, and brother, Joseph, voiced that they would not be able to visit him regularly if we took him back so soon.
Currently we are inclined to find a local cemetery to keep his remains and then revisit taking his remains to be placed with those of his Parents at a later time.
We thank Everyone's love, support, and generosity in this time of remembrance and recovery for our family. The assistance you provided, including through this GoFundMe campaign was a great help towards his final expenses, including whatever is decided by the Family regarding the matter above.
We would like to take this chance to remind everyone reading this - to please ensure that you've made preparations for your own final arrangements - current account and insurance beneficiaries, a will, living trust, etc. so your surviving loved ones would have less worries during a time of mourning.

On the night of February 8, 2019, we lost our father, Jorge (George) Macaraeg Lindayen, 70, on his way to work due to a tragic car accident in Vallejo, CA.
He will be missed, as his generous, fun-loving nature was eclipsed only by his love and pride in his four children, (Lindsey, Leslie, Liza, and Lorin) and seven grandkids (Angeline, Aaron, Ezra, Orion, Riley, Jenavive, and Gabrielle).
Once he brought his first wife, Corazon, and 2 year old son to the US in 1975 to raise their family in a better life - he continued help members of his extended family come to the States to experience the same opportunities. Often putting them up in his own home until they could get out on their own.
This was his legacy of helping others - his family and many friends who he made along the way.
He was preparing to move back to the Philippines for his retirement, but with his sudden and tragic death - we will bring him home to the Philippines to take permanent residence with our other deceased family in the cemetery of San Carlos, Pangasinan.
Here are additional details of the accident that are known at this time: https://www.timesheraldonline.com/2019/02/09/vallejo-man-dies-in-traffic-collision/
We appreciate any contributions to assist with his final expenses and transport back to his hometown in the Philippines.
