Memorial Fund for Joe Carter

This is Shenny, a friend of the family and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of Nicole Carter and her children, who recently suffered the tragic loss of their husband and father.

In lieu of flowers or a meal train...

We are trying to raise funds to help the family take care of unexpected expenses that will come from this recent loss. They still have no idea what medical bills will look like for 45+ days in the hospital, it will probably be at least a few weeks before they even find out what that will look like. For now, we want to ensure that they are taken care of and per the family's request are asking that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to this GoFundMe fundraiser. Let's be there for the Carter's the same way Joe was always there for so many of us!

Nicole's latest update:

First, I want to thank everyone who prayed over Joe and our family during this time. Joe passed away on 9/14 from complications due to covid at 3:43pm. God granted me the opportunity to be by his bedside in his last few moments here on earth. He went quickly and in peace. I told him in his last moments..."it's OK to go. You RUN into Jesus's arms. I'm so jealous of all the amazing things you will see! I will see you very soon!" Joe touched many hearts in his lifetime. I could see that. He was an amazing husband and the best father to our children and a good friend to all. He had such a huge heart to everyone he met. He loved to give hugs and was full of love, laughter and plenty of knowledge of just about anything. He could talk to anyone. Joey also was the hardest worker I ever knew, even in his disability he made sure our family was taken care of. He also made sure others were taken care of in their season of need. There is not another man like him. He was truly my best friend, soul mate, and the love of my life. I will miss how he would hold my hand or look into my eyes with such tenderness and love. Or how we would finish each other's sentences or just sitting next to him just for comfort. I will miss his warm hugs and how I felt so safe in his arms and also his gentle voice. Our children will miss their "daddy". He will always be "daddy". The daddy who was Mr. Fixit because that's what he could do. Fix anything. He loved his classic country and a good burrito! We'll miss daddy's Saturday morning chorizo, egg and potato tacos for breakfast! And how He would tell our kids when they asked what's for breakfast or dinner and he would say "oatmeal!" Just to drive them crazy. I will post in the next few days of when/where his celebration of life will be. Please give us time to grieve....and know, no matter what we love you all! May our God be glorified!

Joey s Celebration of Life will be Saturday Oct. 9th @ 11am.

The service will conducted at Calvary Chapel Green Valley located in Henderson, NV.

2615 W. Horizon Ridge Pkwy.

There is ample parking available. No reception to follow. In honor of Joey, my family has decided to wear cowboy boots. All are welcome to join in that honor. For those who cannot attend, there will be a live online service with a link provided. You will also be able to view the service at a later time. All are welcomed.
