Memorial Fund for Jason's Brave Journey

This is a fundraiser for Angela Smith to help cover the expense of memorializing her precious son, Jason David Smith. Jason was born in 2010 with a congenital heart condition. He was a fighter from the moment he was born. Enduring over 9 heart surgeries during his 14 years of life, Jason was an amazing boy who inspired many. In February of 2025, Jason contracted the flu. After three weeks of illness, it was determined that he was in heart failure and needed a heart transplant. Jason was life-flighted to St. Louis where he underwent another surgery. Unfortunately, due to complications with his kidneys, he was unable to be placed on the donor list for a heart. He left his earthly bounds and entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, April 12th.

During his time in the hospital, Angela was by his side every day. She witnessed things that a mother should never have to endure, but she remained strong and resolute for Jason. She was unable to work during this time. This fundraiser will also help Angela pay off any debt that was accumulated during Jason's hospital stay. It is my hope that this fundraiser can be a blessing, and Angela will feel the love and support of those who donate. No donation is too small. Every act of love matters.
