December 25th, 2022 our family suffered a tragic loss when Jared lost his battle to mental illness. Jared was 39 years old & had been suffering from schizophrenia for years.
Jared was a free spirit who didn’t require much. He was a simple, yet complex man. Music was his therapy & would help keep him sane. Jared stood on loyalty & principle. He would have done anything for the ones he loved.
Jared pursued a career in HVAC after realizing his calling. He earned his Journeyman’s License & even started his own business. Jared never judged anyone & his love language was talkin’ shit. Which is why we all loved him. He stayed true to himself.
Jared wasn’t dealt the best hand in life but he found joy & happiness in what truly mattered. After years of incarceration all he wanted to do was spend his time outside, feeling free.
It’s still so surreal to speak about Jared in the past tense. Jared was one of the most intelligent people that was knowledgeable about various topics. He would tell you the most random facts whether you wanted to hear them or not. His humor & energy were unmatched. He was convinced he was the funniest person on earth. Jared was a genuine soul who created bonds with people from all different walks of life over short amounts of time. His heart is pure & he was sure to make you remember him in a positive light.
Although Jared had no children of his own, he leaves behind a niece who he absolutely adored & she misses him terribly. They loved to go canoeing, fishing & exploring together. He was a dedicated Uncle.
In 2013 our family suffered the tragic death of our sister, Brooke after she crashed into a building. Jared & Brooke were inseparable. We know that Jared was never the same after she passed. We speak on behalf of our family when we say that we truly believe Jared is at peace now & with Brooke. He’s no longer a prisoner of his own mind.
We know in our hearts he made peace with his family & himself before he took his life. If we could all survive off love, Jared would have lived FOREVER.
