Memorial Fund for Gene Santoro

Hi, I'm Brian, one of Gene's colleagues from the local community board. With the assistance of other colleagues, we are collecting funds for one of Gene's wishes - a memorial bench plaque in a local park, in the neighborhood along the East River that he called home for many decades. Our target fundraising goal is an estimate for the dedication (which will be donated to the park as a memorial gift); any extra collected through this fundraiser will also be donated to the park as an additional sustaining gift for the park. Details about the precise location are being worked out (our first choice is Stuyvesant Cove Park, overseen by Solar One, which is currently undergoing reconstruction), and donors will be notified when a dedication is arranged.
