Memorial fund for family of David E Harrison

David Emanuel Harrison was born in San Francisco, California, to Rev. Dr. Robert “Bob” and Marilyn Harrison on June 25,1960. After graduation from High School, David attended Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. He traveled throughout the United States, Europe, and Southern Africa with Living Praise’s singing group. He went on to earn a Master’s degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
David was ordained by the Assemblies of God, first working alongside his father in church planting in the inner city of Oakland, California, and later in the distressed communities of Portsmouth, Virginia. David also served as a youth pastor in Hampton Virginia. His time living in the Philippines as a missionary family as a young boy helped cultivate his passion for global outreach and development. In 1994, David joined OC International (now One Challenge). In 1999, David and his family moved to Johannesburg, South Africa, where he served as a missionary with OC International and two years later, founded Kingdom Development Group, LLC (KDG), a leadership training and development organization. David was also a founding board member of Cleft HOUSE, a South African-based organization assisting children affected by HIV/AIDS.
David is survived by his former wife, Novella, married from 1984 to 2011, with whom he has three sons: Christopher David of Fallston, Maryland, Johnathan Michel of McLean, Virginia; Daniel Joseph of London, United Kingdom, and grandson, David Baldwin; siblings Carol Davis, Robert “Keith”, Adrienne Childress, Steven, and a host of wonderful extended family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Bob” Emmanuel Harrison and Marilyn Betty Harrison.
