On July 4th my father, Doug Kennedy, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away, Mom and I are heartbroken trying to figure out how to continue on without our hero.  After over 40 years of marriage Mom has lost her rock, best friend, and confidant in this world while I have lost my father  and the most amazing Poppy I could have ever been blessed with for my children.  Due to Dad's unexpected passing and the heroic efforts to save his life, there are large immediate transport and medical expenses  (Life Flight via helicopter, 6+ hour emergency surgery etc) that are left uncovered and to be paid, as well as costs associated with taking Dad home to Hawai'i where Mom and I will lay him to rest on the island he loved so dearly.  All parties will be paid by check or electronically and will help Mom get on her feet during this time of incredible grief.
