Memorial Fund for Dinora Mejia and Claudia Ordonez

My name is Andres Mejia. I'm setting up this fundraiser for funeral arrangements for my mother Dinora Mejia, and my sister Claudia Ordonez. They were wonderful women who's lives were cut short due to covid. They both passed, my mother first on Sunday January 10th, 2021, and then my sister two days later.

My mother loved life. She spent 40 wonderful years with my father, also named Andres Mejia, before he passed away a few years ago due to cancer. She was determined to live out the rest of her days despite this loss, working hard for herself and her family who were left behind. She was set to retire this year from her job as a custodian and live out the rest of her days in El Salvador, retiring in the house my dad had built for both of them. Now, may she rest in peace.

My sister was a wonderful woman. I have many wonderful memories of my sister as we grew up, attending sweet 15s, attending my sister's sweet 15, taking family trips, and growing up with our younger siblings. We laughed, we loved one another, we became even closer during and after my father's last days battling cancer. She now leaves behind her husband and her fellow siblings. May she rest in peace.

My mother and sister fought hard this covid but I'm afraid the damage it had done was too much to overcome. Remember to wear your masks, wash your hands, and do everything you can to not get this covid. This loss is beyond words, may it not happen to you.
