Memorial Fund for Debra Bell
Donation protected
Our dear friend Ashley Bell has been going through an unspeakable tragedy and she needs immediate help. Her mother took her own life and she needs financial assistance with funeral arrangements. It is vital to understand that until she can get the funds, she cannot have a proper burial, and therefore, she cannot make peace with this tragic situation. Please consider donating any amount to help her and her family with funeral costs. This unexpected event has taken an insurmountable toll on Ashley, and she needs our help right now. Thank you!

Here is a note from Ashley:
At some point in the last week of October, my mother ended her life. For many years there were so many things out of her control physically, financially, and emotionally that I truly believe this choice was one of the very few things she felt that she could control, and therefore felt it was her only option left. For many years she sought out help from different doctors and therapists, racking up heavy medical bills on top of those pre-existing, needing to go as far as remortgaging her home more than once to pay for her cost of care.
Regardless of her circumstances, Debra genuinely took to heart the concerns of others. She often chose to help those in need before helping herself.
I was my mother's only form of support system. Now as I try to settle her estate and pay for her funeral expenses, I am still the only one willing to give my mother the burial and funeral services she deserves. I have dedicated the last year to assist my mom get back on the right track financially, while also taking on the burdensome task of helping her find better medical care in the times of Covid-19 to help alleviate the emotional strain she has been under for well over a decade. This toll on my own mental and physical health was taxing, and now I struggle to cope with her death.
My mom didn't have any financial assets or savings at the time of her death. I first legally must acquire a death certificate. For this to happen, my mother first needs to be cremated- the costs of this well exceed any savings I have. Allowing my mother to remain within the coroner's office until all these affairs have been concluded isn't at this time something I can emotionally comprehend. I know that she would want something simple and while I have begun arrangements for a service in spring, there are other steps of the process that need to happen first and so this is why at this time I humbly ask for financial help no matter how great or small from anyone who is able to assist.
All funds raised will go directly to Ashley Bell for funeral and memorial expenses. Thank you in advance.
