My name is Cheryl Pitones. I am Pam Bonillas's niece and Colbi's cousin.
A detailed explanation of how the funds will be spent:
We began this page as a convenient way for out of town friends and family to send money. We had no idea it would generate this amount of love and support. The Bonillas family intends to use the funds to pay for Colbi's memorial service and costs associated with it. Any remaining monies will be put toward expenses related to Colbi's passing.
Your plan for ensuring your campaign’s donations reach their intended recipient(s). This could be clarifying that they will be added as the beneficiary of the campaign, or if they have authorized you to withdraw the funds on their behalf and deliver the money to them outside of GoFundMe.
As you can imagine, there are many things going on in our family at present. In the interest of ease to the Bonillas family, I have arranged to have the funds transferred to my personal account. I will write a check for the entire amount and present it to them for deposit. Pam is aware of this arrangement.
