Memorial fund for Coach Hammer, Mark Brown
Mark “Coach Hammer”, 55 was a fabulous guy with a rock star charisma. Mark was A dedicated father to his daughter Taylor and an active volunteer in the South Tahoe community, his sudden passing on December 18 has left his family and friends in shock.
Mark’s accomplishments as a skilled craftsman, ski coach at heavenly for 20 years, derby coach, nature lover, neighbor and caring zealous friend are without equal. With a love for life, spunk and grit, he shared his passions with everyone he met. We will miss his contagious smile and lust for life.
Donations to the Mark Brown “Coach Hammer” Memorial Fund are being sought in an effort to help the Brown family during this devastating time of unexpected loss, funeral expenses and college savings for Taylor who just turned 20, a graduate of South Tahoe High School.

A celebration of life will be held 5pm, January 27 at Coldwater Brewery in South Lake Tahoe.

A message from his daughter Taylor......This is Taylor Brown. I’m getting ready to fly to my dad’s family in LA. My dad was the most amazing man I have ever known. My dad was my hero. He held my hand when I needed to stand, it’s good to know he did the same for so many others. Hearing about all the lives he has touched during this difficult time has been a huge comfort. Knowing he won’t be forgotten for being an incredible, inspiring person as he has always been to me. Seeing all the derby girls he helped and who cared so much for him . Love you all TB
