Our family is devastated by the sudden loss of my dad, Christopher Michael Huertaz, also known as “BABY”, who passed away unexpectedly on December 11th, 2025. My dad was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend to many who knew him. For those that knew my dad, they knew he was an adventurous and unique soul, but most of all, no matter what, he was always going to be himself! And if you were around him, there was always going to be a story to tell afterward. Some of his interests included bike riding, cooking (he was also known as “Baby Flay”), he loved his oldies and old school music, he was a Dallas Cowboys fan, and he also was a newly Grandpa to his Grandson Jr., whom he instantly fell in love with!

As our family grieves this unexpected loss and with the holidays right around the corner, we are raising funds to help ease the burden of funeral and memorial expenses, any contribution is greatly appreciated! Although my dad is no longer here with us, I know he touched the lives of the many people who crossed his path. We’re all going to miss you, Dad. Until we reunite in heaven again, I know this isn’t goodbye, but see you later!
