Memorial Fund for Charlie Stewart

Our hearts are broken to share that Charlie Stewart died on 12/16/20. Charlie was a kind, loving and smart. He spent a lot of his adult life changing hundreds of lives. He helped addicts get the services needed to live a drug free life.

At his heart though, he loved spending time with his family. From running 4 milers on Thanksgiving day with his sister Lee, to watching Packers games with his sister Anne, you saw that what mattered most at the end of the day was his loved ones. He loved being a fun uncle to his four nieces and nephew. He stepped up the fun uncle role when Anne’s husband passed away this year, and also spent quarantine at his mom’s home to be sure they could spend time together.

Addiction is a disease that never goes away, and when you have a big loss to your support system with the death of a loved one, it can be detrimental to recovery. On top of that, during the COVID-19 pandemic many services like the NA meetings Charlie attended daily became unavailable. Even without the normal support, Charlie was thriving. These past 7 months he got his insurance license in multiple states, and was excelling in the industry.

Charlie's family and friends are heartbroken to lose someone who had so much more to give the world. This was unexpected and his mom is struggling to find the funds to have a funeral service. We hope Charlie has found peace and love in the arms of the Lord.

I know this is a hard time in the world with Covid, and the holiday season.  Anything you can give would be very much appreciated and would help the family in putting Charlie to rest.
