Memorial Fund for Jason Irvine Local 179

Donation protected

Memorial Fund for Jason Irvine, a father to Tanner Irvine, husband to Debora Humeniuk and Dad to dogs Nori and Tomi. Jason passed in his sleep on April 7th, 2021 in Whitehorse, Yukon. Nov 18, 1972-April 7, 2021.

He was an Inerprovincial Red Seal Pipeline Welder with Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Local 179. Jason obtained his formal welding education at SAIT in Calgary. He worked at many jobs over the 25 years all across Canada.

He was a loyal Brother, mastering his trade and perfecting the science behind alloys and working with steel. He mentored many young apprentices and fitters, lending a hand, caring for others with his jovial laugh, sharp wit, and do it right and do it safe attitude. He traveled with many Brothers and Sisters of Local 179, getting involved in supporting others through life's many up and downs.

He studied Integrated Forestry Management at SIAST, with a love of nature, hunting, trapping, fishing and guiding. We are bringing Jason home to rest to the family farm in Esterhazy, Sask. Tanner and Debora and his dogs will return to Sask to visit his grave and share stories of our life together and the many adventures yet to come for his son Tanner.

Brothers and Sisters of Local 179 would like to help bring Jason and his family home. Jason helped others first, and would be very humbled for any kind of help. All are hurting and want to do something to help, so any funds here will go to moving, funeral costs, Tanner's education and the Rally in the Valley for Jason at the family farm when it is safe to do so.

Debora, Tanner, Nori and Tomi thank you kindly. Our hearts are broken, but we know you are with us, and we will all meet again.

Memory Eternal.
